The core philosophy that guides us is informed by the belief that children desire and exert hard to learn in a developmentally appropriate atmosphere and environment. To us the developmentally appropriate learning at this stage is the Three R’s – Reading, wRiting, aRithmatic. We channelize the energies of our young learners into the three R’s and avoid distractions of themes/days/events that dissipate energy fruitlessly, in activity for the sake of activity, as children at this age are cognitively not equipped to have any meaningful understanding of these. We have scientifically designed, developmentally appropriate material at which children are exerting to develop themselves and embrace happiness, and they need to be, and we leave them free towards this end.
At a deeper level our philosophy is informed by Epistemology, and we apply the epistemology of Ayn Rand to the Didactic Materials and Pedagogy of Maria Montessori.
Concept formation and consequently, a Conceptual grasp of Existence is the attribute that elevates Man above the higher mammals and makes this earth the Inheritance of mankind.
Rote learning and Discipline were virtues in the Agrarian and Industrial worlds, Conceptual grasp a luxury. In the Knowledge economy and world, conceptual grasp will be a required virtue. There is no way to instruct and prepare children/men for jobs/functions that don’t exist today, but will be the ones where children of today will exert in adulthood; the only way is to empower them to equip themselves – Liberty, drive, self learning, conceptual grasp – these are the attributes. Our philosophy guides us in setting up even the smallest detail in our method towards exciting these Attributes.
